Am I Safe?

Traumatic events tend to place us in unfamiliar territory. In my experience, trauma triggers me to run for the hills. The only problem with that is I do not get very far. It’s like sprinting on a hamster wheel. INSANITY!

How Do I Accept Where I AM?

Well, it’s no easy feat. Psalm 27:1 says it so eloquently in The Passion Translation!

Yahweh is my revelation-light and the source of my salvation. I fear no one! I’ll never turn back and run, for you, Yahweh, surround and protect me.

I must admit, I do not feel safe right now. However, my feelings do not diminish nor dismantle the truth of God’s word. Even though I do not feel it, doesn’t mean that it is not true.

The word of God says in Romans 3:4 (TPT)

Absolutely not! God will always be proven faithful and true to his word, while people are proven to be liars. This will fulfill what was written in the Scriptures:Your words will always be vindicated and you will rise victorious when you are being tried by your critics!

The affirmation I AM Safe, helps me to be still. I struggle with anxiety and depression. I have overcome these two deficits in different seasons of my life. My life is constantly shifting. For some time I thought I was cursed because such lofty scenarios of gloom seem to frequently fall into my lap.

I AM Safe!

What is safety? I’m still discerning this daily. What I have learned is the importance of guarding my heart and protecting my oil. The phrase “guard your heart” can be such an itchy topic. Like what does it really mean? What it does NOT mean is putting up walls so high and so chained that NO ONE can get in. What I THINK it means is vetting our relationships and strategically placing people where they belong in our lives. With that being said, relationships take time. Pouring ALL of our oil out on people or a person causes our vats to be empty, and there is nothing left for us. Save some for you. The oil will always stop flowing if there is not an AVAILABLE vat/vessel. Just because we may be empty does not make us available. What type of empty are you?

You are safe and extremely loved. God has gifted/anointed you with many creative juices and such an innovative mind. Our deficits are merely opportunities for God to display His glory, grace, and mercy more toward us. Love this sis! Purpose in pain yes. You definitely inspire me. I am safe! Period!
